Privacy Policy

OHMIE does not collect your data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics, and no server — everything you enter stays on your device.
The short version
OHMIE is an offline reference and job-documentation tool for electricians. It runs entirely on your device. We — the developers of OHMIE — do not operate a server for the app, do not receive your job information, and have no way to see what you enter into it.
Information we collect
None. OHMIE does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information.
Specifically, the app contains:
- No user accounts, sign-in, or registration
- No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or usage tracking
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers
- No third-party trackers or marketing SDKs
- No backend server that receives your data
Information you enter, and where it lives
To do its job, OHMIE stores what you enter on your device only, in the app's own storage:
- Job records — job names, PO numbers, job-site addresses, your answers to the sizing questions, material lists, check-offs, change orders, and sign-offs.
- Photos — job-site and proof-of-completion photos you attach, saved as image files in the app's storage.
- Your profile — the name and email address you enter once at first launch so your reports can be stamped with who did the work.
- Settings — such as your company office's email address, remembered so you don't retype it.
This information never leaves your device unless you choose to send it (see below). Deleting the app removes it.
When information leaves your device — only when you send it
OHMIE gives you ways to share a job, and each one is an action you take deliberately:
- Email reports. OHMIE opens your device's own mail composer with a pre-written report. You review it and press send. It goes through your email account and your mail provider — not through us. We never receive a copy.
- Job Tickets. A job ticket can be shared as a link, an on-screen QR code, or a file. The job data is encoded in the ticket itself and travels however you send it (Messages, AirDrop, email, a printed QR code). There is no OHMIE server in the middle.
- The share sheet. Anything you share out of OHMIE is handed to the app or service you pick, and that app's own privacy policy then applies.
Once you send information to someone, how they handle it is between you and them.
Camera and photo library
OHMIE asks for camera access for one reason: so you can photograph a job site or your completed work. If you attach an existing picture instead, OHMIE uses Apple's standard photo picker — which means the app never gets access to your photo library at all, and only receives the specific picture you pick. Photos you attach are saved in the app's storage on your device. OHMIE does not upload them anywhere.
Location
OHMIE does not use your device's location services. When you type a job-site address, the app reads the state from that text on your device in order to apply that state's electrical amendments. The address is not looked up, geocoded, or sent anywhere.
Children
OHMIE is a professional tool for working electricians and is not directed at children. Since the app collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Changes to this policy
If OHMIE ever adds a feature that changes how information is handled — for example an account system or a cloud backup — we will update this policy before that feature ships, and we will change the date at the top of this page.
